| Wow, it's been awhile since I last updated. I had a birthday on Feb 12th, and it was alot of fun. I've been helping the worship teams more over the last 6 weeks since my last post, and that has been fun as well.
God is moving in different areas of my life, consistently challenging me to move beyond my current state to increased growth.
| The worship team I was a part of today had a great time leading God's people into His presence, and what a mighty day it was! We had a very exciting, upbeat set of songs reflecting on God's grace and mercy as we flowed with the Spirit. It was a remarkable experience to be united as a church, singing the praises and glories of the Most High God!
I was given the opportunity to play backup acoustic guitar and sing harmony - it was an absolute blast. And I was reminded of something today after watching the OUTSTANDING Chicago Bears win a Super Bowl spot - enjoy the journey rather than focusing on the end point. And when people mentioned worship today at church I said it was incredible to help lead and alot of fun.
The set list was:
Most High Your Grace Is Enough Mighty To Save Nothing But The Blood Glorious (new Chris Tomlin song)
Offeratory:
I Surrender All
..................oh and .. G O B E A R S !!!!!!!!
| I had an odd thing happen today: the worship leader at our North Campus was recovering from losing her voice and since she didn't have any male singers to help her out (her team sounded vocally weak), I offered to sing with her team and she took me up on it! It was great - a key I could naturally harmonize in without even thinking about it! However, she asked me to sing melody on the chorus', so it was a nice mix and alot of fun.
I always have fun when the Lord gives me these opportunities! She's a fantastic worship leader - it was an honor to worship with her today (it was the first time I've been led into worship by her).
And I found out I'm going to be playing/singing (both or one or the other) this next weekend on another team, since I'm not yet permanently on one yet. So it's exciting - things are slowly moving forward!
| Wow! Tonight was an incredible night of quiet worship, adoration, and intercession during our final evening of prayer and fasting at church. What a remarkable journey! 4 days and nights (soon to be 5 days) of laying ourselves down before the Lord - ambitions, desires, freewill. Lord have your way!! You alone will accomplish what has been established over these last 4 days!
Pastor recalled each evening tonight, with the focus highlighted by each speaker for that evening. He tied it together and we had a wonderful, extended time of worship and prayer.
My set tonight was:
Draw Me Majesty (chorus only) Heart Of Worship I Love You Lord
OH and the VERY BEST part tonight was that a young woman named Hope gave her life to Christ! Can it get any better than that!? Lord you are truly amazing - I am left in humble awe of You.
I have been changed by the presence of God again this week ..... have you?
| Tonight was a fantastic evening in God's house! There were many prophetic words spoken to key leaders at church and over the entire church. It was a critical, defining moment for our church and for those specific individuals. This really was the pivotal evening of prayer and fasting this week.
I felt very comfortable leading God's people into His presence tonight and inviting Him to move as He desired. I love to see God's people worshipping Him - He deserves all of it and more.
The word tonight was on Jesus greatest commandment - love one another (John 15:14-15). The Lord will accomplish His purposes on the earth - it's His Kingdom, He will see it to completion. He asks us to love another in obedience to the Word of God! Sometimes that can be a very difficult charge given the natural circumstances that occur. But as was spoken tonight, we need to break out of the natural and into the spirit to truly be able to love one another.
My set tonight was:
Welcome In This Place How Great Is Our God Mercy (We Bring Our Crowns)
Tomorrow evening we seal all the Lord has done and look forward to moving in His Spirit in 2007!
